Job description

Position Overview: MSE Foundation is looking for a 50/50 Raffle Supervisor to open, supervise and close out 50/50 Raffles for the 2026- 2027 Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards team seasons.

Responsibilities:
  • Review 50/50 Raffle Seller applicants, perform individual phone screenings and group interviews at Capital One Arena when needed
  • Onboard 50/50 Raffle Sellers and deliver seller trainings at Capital One Arena together with 50/50 Raffle Shift Supervisors
  • Manage seller schedules and payroll - applying feedback from 50/50 Raffle Supervisors
  • Collaborate with 50/50 Raffle Shift Supervisors to establish seller targets, monitoring seasonal progress
  • Work with the 50/50 software and hardware provider on any updates to systems and/or POS devices
  • Communicate winning information to game-entertainment
  • Apply system reports and data to make recommendations for improving revenue
  • Implement innovative ideas to improve revenue, exploring raffle trends and standard methodologies
  • Collaborate directly with 50/50 Raffle sellers by designating selling locations and operational handheld devices, voiding tickets as needed, and helping prepare final sales reports.
  • Open the 50/50 Raffle office and prepare the raffle technology prior to each raffle.
  • Sell 50/50 raffle tickets to guests attending events at Capital One Arena.
  • Close out raffle technology.
  • Promote the 50/50 raffle program and MSE Foundation to increase recognition.
  • Handle electronic transactions.
  • Approach fans before the game, during play, and throughout intermissions and halftime to share the details of the 50/50 raffle program.
  • Accurately handle the sale and distribution of the tickets, following program requirements.
  • Respond to inquiries fans might have regarding the 50/50 raffle program and MSE Foundation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays from October through June.
  • Excellent interpersonal skill, well-spoken and determined to make sales on behalf of MSE Foundation.
  • A responsible and motivated individual unafraid to approach guests with a sales pitch.
  • Willing to become familiar with the 50/50 Raffle software program.
  • Ability to interact positively and empower team members.
  • Detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
  • Must be available for at least half of the 50/50 raffle games each month.
  • Able to walk, stand, and climb in an indoor setting for 4-5 hours at a time.
  • Must be timely and arrive to work on time.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Interest in sports philanthropy or nonprofit fundraising preferred.
Pay Rate: $32.00 hour/USD.
