Employment Type: Full-Time

About ThirdChannel

ThirdChannel helps brands deploy their best advocates into the marketplace through a technology-first platform connecting brands, retailers, and field teams.

About the Role

ThirdChannel is hiring a Field Marketing Representative to bring Costa Del Mar to life across a regional territory. We're looking for someone with genuine roots in outdoor culture who can execute retail programs, grassroots activations, and field events at a high level.

You will own retail relationships, brand activations, and community partnerships in support of Costa's mission to Protect What's Out There. Success looks like strong retailer engagement, a visible regional presence, and measurable impact on brand awareness and sell-through. You will be expected to build a strong pulse on your territory, identify the highest-impact opportunities, and proactively recommend ways to strengthen Costa's visibility, retailer engagement, community relevance, and sell-through.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Community Engagement

Serve as Costa's brand ambassador in market. Execute grassroots activations and build relationships with anglers, guides, water athletes, and local influencers.

Retail & Account Support

Visit wholesale, specialty, optical, and regional accounts regularly. Conduct product trainings, maintain merchandising standards, and support seasonal launches.

Product Education

Become a trusted expert on Costa's lens technology and sustainability story. Deliver engaging clinics and presentations to retail partners and consumers.

Events & Experiential Marketing

Lead setup, execution, and teardown of Costa activations including tournaments, trade shows, demos, and retail events. Capture consumer feedback and field recaps.

Conservation & Partner Activations

Support nonprofit and conservation partner activations aligned with Costa's mission. Cultivate community relationships that extend the brand's reach and purpose.

Market Intelligence & Field Reporting

Act as Costa's eyes and ears in market. Track retailer feedback, competitive activity, category trends, consumer behavior, and emerging community opportunities. Translate observations into timely, actionable reporting and recommendations for the broader Costa team.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years in field marketing, experiential marketing, sports marketing, or a related outdoor industry role.
  • Genuine passion for outdoor culture (fishing, boating, surfing, diving, or adventure sports) and credible connection to those communities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills; effective with retail associates, brand directors, and fishing guides alike.
  • Experience executing events, demos, grassroots activations, or retail training programs.
  • Highly organized and self-directed; comfortable working independently in the field. Able to synthesize field observations into clear reporting, actionable insights, and recommendations.
  • Able to lift and transport event equipment; comfortable with extensive regional travel and weekend schedules.
  • Experience with conservation or nonprofit initiatives preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Why ThirdChannel?

  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, Vision, and Short-Term Disability Insurance
  • Flexible time off
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Employee product seeding, when applicable
