Position Title: Seasonal Weighmaster
Reports to: Shift Manager
Department: Operations
Classification: Seasonal, Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Pay: $21.50 - $22.25 an hour

The Seasonal Weighmaster is responsible for receiving and initiating traceability for incoming olive loads, accurately recording weights, and ensuring compliance with safety and procedural standards. Key tasks include weighing raw materials and biproducts, verifying vehicle information, maintaining logs & reports, and assigning loads for receiving.
Corto Harvest is a 24/7 operation from mid-October to early December so the ability to work any shift, at least 6 days per week, is required and a willingness to work up to 12 hours if needed.
This position will be primarily responsible for:
  • Executing role-related tasks in accordance with work instructions, checklists, and reaction plans while ensuring adherence to established procedures.
  • Weighing incoming and outgoing materials, byproducts, and vehicles while ensuring compliance with Weights and Measures standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records through data entry, reporting, and documentation.
  • Collecting representative samples from each incoming fruit load, assessing loads for quality concerns, and recording fruit load temperatures.
  • Completing daily reports and maintaining logs, spreadsheets, and other assigned records.
  • Investigating paperwork and reporting discrepancies with the Logistics Coordinator and providing coverage during breaks and lunch periods.
  • Following safety policies and procedures, participating in safety training, and reporting unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Cleaning and maintaining work area and equipment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least one or more years of experience in data entry.
  • Demonstrated ability of attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow procedures.
  • Verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic math and grammar skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within the team.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office.

Physical Requirements:
Moderate lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; rare stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 50% or more sitting, 25% or less walking, and 25% or more standing. The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a manufacturing environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift up to 45 lbs. is required.
