The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Fire Protection/Sprinkler System Engineer to join our Building and Fire Protection Engineering team in West Milton, NY! As a Fire Protection/Sprinkler System Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to: Provide detailed review of fire suppression system modifications and new designs for code compliance and system compatibility. Provide field engineering support in construction to support system acceptance, commissioning and building occupancy.

Provide engineering support to the operators of the Inspection, Testing and Maintenance Programs to include water based and special hazard suppression. Resolve fire code deficiencies and upgrade suppression systems and equipment to be more effective. This position will require the Engineer to interact with multiple organizations, project execution teams, systems engineers, building owners and code officials to ensure code compliant design and construction.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in a related technical, engineering or science field and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
