Summary: The Bin Optimizer is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory placement, ensuring warehouse zone compliance, and optimizing bin utilization to support efficient warehouse operations. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to SOPs, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain bin accuracy greater than or equal to 99% during cycle counts and audits
- Ensure all SKUs are stored in correct bin locations per WMS (SAP)
- Identify and correct inventory discrepancies promptly
- Warehouse Zone Conformity
- Achieve 100% compliance with assigned warehouse zones
- Store inventory within designated racking, flow lanes, or floor locations
- Ensure all bin labels are visible, correct, and scannable
- Complete slotting changes according to approved plans
- Organization & Housekeeping
- Maintain assigned areas clean and organized daily
- Remove debris, empty packaging, and excess materials from bin locations
- Promptly remove materials on destroy or obsolete status
- Identify and report damaged product, bins, or racking immediately
- Maintain zero preventable safety incidents caused by storage or bin condition
- Bin Optimization & Space Utilization
- Utilize bin capacity efficiently (avoid chronic underfill or overfill)
- Position high-velocity SKUs for optimal access
- Complete re-slotting tasks within assigned timeframe
- Work to reduce non-productive bin moves over time
- Process Compliance & Communication
- Follow SOPs 100% of the time
- Communicate issues clearly to Inventory Control or Leadership
- Maintain accurate documentation of bin changes and corrections
- Support continuous improvement initiatives

Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or similar role
- Proficiency with WMS systems, preferably SAP
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift and move materials as required
Experience Requirements:
Efficient with material handling equipment (ie: Stand up / Set Down forklift, Turret, Cherry Picker)
SAP Experience Highly Desired - Transactions to know (LX03, LX16, LS24, LT24, etc.)

Standing and walking for this position can require being on your feet the entire shift; other activities are: sitting, climbing, stooping, reaching, grasping, hearing, talking, pushing, pulling, and kneeling. Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less with the ability to judge distance and space relationships and bring objects into sharp focus. Requires continuous visual and mental attention.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Worker will be exposed to ambient noise level in a manufacturing environment. Requiring the use of hearing protection. Worker exposed to physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts. Worker occasionally exposed to atmospheric conditions such as fumes and dust. Worker will be exposed to seasonal temperatures sufficiently high or low to cause bodily discomfort, activities occur inside and outside. Worker exposed to a variety of physical conditions such as moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and high heat.
