Job description

Angel Fire Resort is looking for Servers to join our team this winter season! Applicants must possess strong customer service skills, be able to communicate effectively, and be able to maintain a positive attitude in a demanding environment. Servers will contribute to the overall success of the restaurant by properly taking guest orders, working on a team with fellow staff members, and by providing an exceptional guest experience. This position will also occasionally assist with special events and projects.
Base Pay: $12/hr + tips
Location: Angel Fire Resort restaurants

Experience: At least six months of successful serving or bartending experience is necessary.
Required Certs or Licenses: NM Alcohol Servers License (must have prior to first day of work)

Attendance: Regular, predictable, punctual, and in-person attendance is essential, includes weekends and holidays as scheduled

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Masters our menu to give guests the information needed for an extraordinary dining experience
  • Treats guests with a combination of friendliness, respect and professionalism that tells them we are a restaurant dedicated to service
  • Scrupulously follows safety rules and food and liquor handling policies
  • Contributes throughout the restaurant to a team-oriented “Three Musketeer’s” spirit.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Responds to guests in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Presents menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
  • Answers questions concerning cost of items, features of items, resort activities, hours of operation, weather conditions, etc.
  • Takes food orders and utilizes POS system to place and record orders.
  • Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
  • Garnishes and decorates dishes/beverages preparatory to serving.
  • Observes diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.
  • Totals bill and accepts payment
  • Requests identification from customers when legal age is questioned regarding alcoholic service.
  • Removes empty or dirty dishes, utensils, glasses and bottles and returns them to the bar or kitchen.
  • Completes opening and closing side work as directed.
  • Follows alcohol serving policies as required by NM State Law.
  • Maintains clean and orderly working environment and follows proper sanitation procedures.
  • Reads and records totals shown on point of sale system and verifies against cash on hand.
  • Utilizes proper cash handling procedures.
  • Other associated tasks amp; duties as assigned.
Environment: This is typically an indoor position. Must be able to stand, walk, and talk for entire shift and occasionally lift/carry 30lbs.
