Job description

Overview

The Box Pro is the on-site leader, community builder, and face of Tee Box Central Houston. Equal parts coach, relationship-driver, and operator, the Box Pro is primarily responsible for introducing golfers to the facility, conducting baseline assessments, driving membership acquisition, and fostering an active, high-retention member community. In this role, you will bridge the gap between body mechanics and golf performance, onboarding new members with personalized improvement pathways while collaborating with management to ensure day-to-day operational excellence.

Experience Required

  • Baseline Certification (Required; will assist with obtaining certification if needed): Active TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) Level 1 Certification.

  • Advanced TPI Certifications (Preferred): Active TPI Level 2+ Certification(s)

  • Experience (Required): 2+ years in golf coaching, golf facility operations, athletic training, or golf-related customer service.

  • Interpersonal & Sales Instincts (Preferred): Exceptional communication, charisma, and hospitality instincts with a proven ability to connect with players and articulate the value of a membership-based training facility.

  • Technology Comfort (Required): Familiarity with golf launch monitors (TrackMan) and video motion analysis tools, along with a high degree of coachability to learn proprietary brand systems

  • Professional Credentials (Preferred): PGA/LPGA Associate or Class A status, or a competitive collegiate/professional golf background.

  • Equipment Knowledge (Preferred): General understanding of club fitting principles and equipment specifications (comprehensive workflow training provided).

Essential Responsibilities

  • Membership Onboarding & Growth: Lead engaging facility tours for prospective members, conduct comprehensive baseline Tee Box Assessments (TPI physical screens, Sportsbox AI 3D motion analysis, and TrackMan ball-flight assessments), and convert leads into active, long-term members.

  • Player Development & Coaching: Deliver individual and small-group coaching sessions utilizing technology-driven feedback, structured movement plans, and remote On-Demand coaching reviews.

  • Club Fitting & Equipment Advisory: Conduct data-driven club fittings using TrackMan technology, manage member equipment orders, and build long-term advisory relationships with players.

  • Fitness & Movement Integration: Utilize our performance gym to integrate functional golf fitness, mobility, and strength training directly into members' swing improvement programs (training provided).

  • Member Engagement & Programming: Build community culture by organizing member leagues, social outings, seasonal challenges, and youth/adult clinic programming.

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily bay upkeep, ensure peak calibration of TrackMan/Sportsbox AI/gym systems, and manage member check-ins and PDK access control workflows.

Benefits

  • Base Salary: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.

  • Incentive Potential: Performance commissions and bonuses tied to new membership acquisitions, coaching programs, and equipment sales.

  • Professional Growth: Opportunities for negotiable, performance-based employer sponsorship for advanced certifications (e.g., advanced TPI tracks, specialized biomechanics, and TBX system credentials).
