We are looking for an organized, service oriented Parts Associate to provide our Service Technicians with the essential components they need to get our customers back on the water as soon as possible.

Job Status:  Full-Time

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt 

Salary: Pay commensurate with experience. 

Essential Functions Statement(s) 

  • Efficiently and accurately process and fill parts orders to ensure our clients receive quality product, and our service shops receiving necessary parts quickly. Communicate delays immediately, and follow up to ensure clients are updated on estimated arrival.
  • Become proficient with DockMaster
    • accurately enter invoices and PO receivers on a daily basis 
    • accurately bill internal and external work orders on a daily basis
  • Research current and potential vendors to ensure we use the most dependable and cost effective parts
  • Receive and process freight:
    • cross reference manifest with invoices to product received for accuracy
    • report damaged freight to vendor immediately and ensure replacements are received
    • generate labels and confirm merchandise is properly labeled and stored in stockroom
    • conduct inventory of stock regularly, no less than once per quarter. Report any losses or overages immediately to Parts Manager and Service Manager
    • maintain the cleanliness and order of the stockroom, follow safety guidelines for storing chemicals and any hazardous or potentially hazardous materials
    • facilitate the transfer or receiving of inventory between internal locations
    • Continually monitor inventory of stock and either re-order additional items as needed, or reduce inventory for slower moving or seasonal merchandise
  • Cash handling: complete daily reconciliation reports and prepare accurate bank deposits. Successfully operate point of sale system and ensure cash drawer is balanced daily.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School Diploma or GED is required

Experience: 2-4 years’ parts sales and/or customer service experience preferred  

Computer Skills:  Must be proficient with general computer applications, experience with MercNet and DockMaster is valued, but not necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typical shop environment with moderate noise and exposure to heat and cold. Outdoor and marine environment may contain uneven and slippery surfaces. Noise level may increase substantially upon interaction with watercraft.
