Lazy Bear is currently looking for Pastry Chef de Partie for our ever expanding kitchen. We are a 2 Michelin Star Restaurant serving modern American cuisine, and utilizing seasonal and high quality market ingredients. We are interested in people with passion, integrity, and the desire to not only help us achieve a high level of cuisine but to also push the level of our creativity, experimentation, and standards on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a fine dining kitchen, with some Michelin background preferred.
  • Career-minded individuals that can grow with us.
  • Great attitudes, personal integrity, attention to detail, dedication to cleanliness, strong organization, and a team mentality.
  • California Food Handler Certification
  • References from a previous manager/chef preferred

Job Duties Include but not Limited to:

  • Intake and putting away deliveries
  • Setting up the kitchen and its stations
  • Prepping mise en place and making kits for recipes
  • Making pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, breads and potentially laminated doughs including gluten & dairy-free options
  • Making other baked goods (tarts, choux pastry, etc) for savory
  • Detailed prep and groundwork for larger projects
  • Maintaining a clean, organized and sanitary work environment at all times
  • Executing dishes for service
