Job description

Overview
The Highlands is seeking motivated team members for our Grounds Maintenance team. This position is responsible for the overall upkeep and appearance of resort grounds, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. Responsibilities include mowing, landscaping, debris removal, and general grounds care. This is a full-time summer seasonal role with opportunities to transition into winter positions.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to):
  • Operate hand tools, power equipment, and riding mowers to cut and maintain lawns
  • Trim and edge around sidewalks, flower beds, and structures
  • Maintain resort landscaping using a variety of tools and equipment
  • Plant and care for grass, shrubs, and trees
  • Apply fertilizer and assist with irrigation to promote healthy plant growth
  • Pick up litter and maintain cleanliness across resort grounds
  • Sweep walkways and remove debris
  • Trim shrubs, pull weeds, rake, mulch, and prune as needed
  • Remove or cut tree limbs that may pose safety hazards
  • Assist with general grounds projects as assigned
  • Hydroseeding, laying sod and other aspects of lawn care.

Qualifications
  • Previous grounds maintenance or landscaping experience preferred, but not required (training provided)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid Driver's License required
