CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Automated Fuels Delivery division out of Mankato, MN territory. We are looking for a Seasonal Driver/Delivery Specialist to transport loads of Petroleum - Diesel and Gas from surrounding terminals to end users. You must have a good work ethic with professional communications skills.

Responsibilities
  • Pick up and deliver products to customers in a safe, timely and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Follow all CHS Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Prepare or adjust HazMat placards correctly for each load.
  • Follow all guidelines and regulations for hauling petroleum products.
  • Maintain electronic logs and onboard computer with each delivery and pickup.
  • Perform all DOT, pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip inspections.
  • Complete daily maintenance report and notify supervisor of any needed repairs.
  • Report all incidents such as injuries, spills, property damage, accidents, traffic violations, and damage to vehicles.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

Minimum Qualifications (required)
  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL (as required for the equipment/route)
  • Valid Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required
  • 2+ years of verifiable CDL driving experience
  • Must meet age requirement
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and compliance, and complete required documentation accurately.

Additional Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience hauling hazardous materials
  • Demonstrated safety performance and consistent adherence to procedures in hazardous materials operations.
  • Demonstrated customer service and communication skills; interact professionally with internal teams and customers.
  • Demonstrated experience completing tanker product transfers (loading/unloading) and related documentation in a regulated environment.
  • Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position. If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings, which may include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements, and FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to safely climb in and out of truck cabs and to the top of a tanker trailer
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions; travel and time away from home as required by the schedule
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in environments with regular exposure to hazardous materials.

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
