Location: Michigan
Pay: $24-26/hour, commensurate with experience
Schedule: Full-time, Year-Round Work, Day Shift

Green Shield Deck Builders is looking for experienced, high-performing individuals ready to take the next step in their careers. This is a W-2 employee position (not 1099) with steady, year-round work-no winter layoffs.

As a Crew Leader, you'll play a key role in overseeing job-site execution, supporting crew performance, and ensuring high-quality builds.

What You'll Do

  • Assist and Lead and support the day-to-day work of a 3-person crew
  • Build high-quality residential decks from start to finish
  • Execute advanced construction tasks (framing, measuring, cutting, assembly)
  • Ensure safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met on every job
  • Train and mentor Crew I and II team members
  • Travel to residential job sites daily
  • Maintain clean, organized, and productive job sites

Requirements

Job RequirementsMinimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver's license (required)
  • Reliable personal vehicle (required)
  • Willingness and ability to travel to residential build sites daily (required) 150 mile radius
  • At least 3 years of experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor
  • At least 1 year of leadership or management experience
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday-Friday (with occasional overtime)
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently throughout the day
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
