Job description

Hourly rate -$17.35 - $20.54/hr
Assembler - Combined Operations
(Employees in this role will be assigned to one of two primary workstreams: Wheels Assembly or Mirrors & Bells Assembly.)
POSITION OVERVIEW
Assemblers support production operations by building, packaging, labeling, and preparing finished goods according to established work instructions. Depending on assignment, an Assembler will work primarily in either:
(1) Wheels Component Assembly, or
(2) Mirrors & Bells Assembly and Packaging.
All Assemblers are responsible for meeting quality standards, maintaining accurate inventory processes, supporting a clean and safe work environment, and contributing to efficient workflow across the production floor.
PRIMARY WORKSTREAM ASSIGNMENTS
Workstream A: Wheels Component Assembly
Assemblers in this track focus on small mechanical components and CNC-machined parts.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble small CNC-machined parts (e.g., bottom brackets, tool kits).
  • Package and label finished products for retail.
  • Maintain inventory levels and verify component quantities.
  • Conduct quality checks related to fit, finish, color accuracy, and functional integrity.
  • Operate basic assembly equipment such as product baggers, bearing presses, or laser engravers.
  • Support shop organization, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support Wheels Mfg production needs.

Workstream B: Mirrors & Bells Assembly and Packaging
Assemblers in this track focus on consumer accessory products, including mirrors and bells.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mirror components, including preparing parts, gluing assemblies, inserting hardware, and staging components for drying.
  • Operate basic machinery such as insertion/sorting machines, bagging equipment, or torque-controlled screwdrivers.
  • Assemble and package finished mirror and bell products into display boxes, shelf boxes, and shipping cartons.
  • Ensure accurate labeling, UPC assignment, and correct product identification for inventory and shipping.
  • Maintain component staging areas and support inventory accuracy by date-stamping and documenting materials.
  • Perform cross-trained tasks across multiple accessories as business needs require.
  • Support general factory organization, cleanliness, and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
  • Ability to read and comprehend assembly instructions and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to work with hand tools and small components
  • Excellent attention to detail with emphasis on quality and labeling accuracy

Preferred
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-2 years of assembly, manufacturing, or packaging experience
  • Experience with light machinery (baggers, insertion machines, torque drivers, laser engravers)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; team lift up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for small-part manipulation
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs overhead occasionally
  • Occasional work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions
  • Ability to use a computer occasionally
