Our General Labor employees need to have the ability to follow direction given by lead persons, supervisors, and management. They must be able to work at a proficient pace, be self-directed and maintain specific job assignments throughout the entire shift. The employee must follow all company regulations and policies as directed in Employee Orientation & Job Training and complete all job tasks with Employee Safety as #1 Priority. All employees must report any Employee Safety, Food Safety, and Production hazards or concerns immediately to Leadsperson, Supervisor, or Management.
As a Seasonal General Labor employee with Lakeside Foods, you would have the following responsibilities:
  • Maintain safe, proper, and efficient operation of equipment.
  • Fulfill various production line position in our food production facility processing fresh vegetables.
  • Complete visual inspections of raw product as they are being processed.
  • Provide relief during other employee's break periods.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing practices (GMPs), Safety Policies, and Safety Procedures.
  • The ability to work Saturday and Sundays.
  • The ability to work 10 hour shifts each day.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & EXPECTATIONS:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally (with assistance).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb or stoop, kneel, or bend.
  • It is expected that seasonal employees work the entire season which will run from approx. July 6th, 2026 thru December 4th, 2026.
