Position Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Developer to join our Observability team. As a Software Engineer on our Platform Observability team, you will be at the heart of our engineering ecosystem. You won t just be monitoring systems; you will be designing and building the next generation of self-service observability infrastructure that provides deep, real-time insights into our data platform. In this role, you will champion the adoption of modern telemetry standards, build robust data pipelines to handle metrics, logs, and traces daily, and create intuitive tooling that helps our engineering organization detect, diagnose, and resolve complex system issues before they impact our users. If you love solving distributed systems problems at scale and have a passion for developer experience, this is the perfect place for you. A Platform Software Engineer is a versatile developer with expertise in Python (Java is a plus) and a strong foundation in cloud platforms to build and manage applications at scale. Generally, platform engineers fall into two categories: backend engineers, who design and implement microservices with robust APIs, and full-stack engineers, who deliver native UI/UX solutions, and the ability to develop frameworks and services to enable an enterprise data platform. With a solid understanding of the SDLC and hands-on experience in Git and CI/CD, platform engineers can independently design, code, test, and release features to production efficiently.

Skills Required:

Experience with cloud-native data services such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Dataflow, Dataproc, EMR, Glue, or Azure Data Factory is desirable.
Ability to leverage modern cloud data platform technologies to deliver platform features and design & orchestrate platform services.
Service-Oriented Architecture and Microservices: Strong understanding of SOA, microservices, and their application within a cloud data platform context. Develop robust, scalable services using Python, Java (preferred), Angular, and cloud technologies.
Full-Stack Development: Knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies, enabling collaboration on data access and visualization layers (Angular, React, or other JavaScript frameworks).
Design and develop RESTful APIs for seamless integration across platform services. Implement robust unit and functional tests to maintain high standards of test coverage and quality.
Database Management: Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL databases, and cloud data warehouses. Must possess excellent SQL skills, including query optimization and data manipulation.
Data Governance and Security: Understanding of data governance frameworks and implementing RBAC, encryption, and data masking in cloud environments.
CI/CD and Automation: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), GitHub, and automation frameworks. Ensure adherence to SDLC best practices and independently manage feature design, coding, testing, and production releases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data platform and microservices issues.

Skills Preferred:
Design and build scalable data pipelines supporting real-time and batch processing.
Design and implement SOA and microservices-based architectures.
Full-stack development experience integrating front-end and back-end applications.
