Evening Shift Differential:$2.00/hour
Night Shift Differential:$2.50/hour
Hours: Sun 11:00pm-7:30a- Friday 7:30 am., floating varied coverage on each shift

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Join Penn State Health as a Grounds Maintenance Technician and help maintain a safe, attractive, and welcoming healthcare campus. This hands-on role performs a variety of groundskeeping, landscaping, lawn care, and property maintenance duties to support patients, visitors, and staff across our facilities.
Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, edging, landscape maintenance, seasonal cleanup, mulching, planting, leaf removal, snow removal, and operating commercial landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and contributing to a well-maintained environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Twelve (12) months horticulture experience required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Prior experience operating various landscape/lawn care equipment, various size trucks, and tractors with manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Prior experience plowing snow with trucks and grounds equipment required.
  • Prior experience operating a skid loader required.
  • Prior experience operating various lift trucks required.
  • Standard test in horticulture knowledge and equipment maintenance operations will be administered.
  • A minimum score of 75% must be achieved on a written and skills (hands on) test. This test will include driving a 16 foot to 24 foot truck, operation of various landscape/lawn care equipment, and operation of a skid loader.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
  • PA Vehicle Inspection License
