Job description

Description:

For more than 60 years, Tyndale has helped readers discover the life-giving truths of God’s Word. Today we’re one of the largest independently owned Christian publishers in the world. Though our business has grown, our mission remains the same: to open God’s Word to as many as possible in language they can relate to and understand.

Tyndale is looking for an energetic and creative Public Relations & Marketing Assistant to support our team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment across multiple teams you will want to consider this vital role in supporting our books, promotions, and authors.

The main function of this role is to provide support to the Public Relations and Marketing Teams. This role is the administrative lead for on-going tasks, as well as short-term projects. Candidates must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively across teams to coordinate multiple projects at once, be highly organized and self-motivated.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide support and administrative assistance to the PR team as needed. This will include coordinating eblasts, assist in writing press releases and other media materials, tracking media hits, handling mailings, media research, social media coordination and other tasks as needed
  • Coordinate seasonal marketing operations and promotions, including sale-season spreadsheets and monthly eBook promotions for the marketing team
  • Complete mailings and distribution of ARCs (advance reader copies), finished books, and promotional items
  • Maintain accurate title data in the department's publishing database
  • Provide general administrative support, including processing invoices, managing subscriptions, and coordinating projects as needed

Qualifications & Experience:

  • College degree and 1+ years of experience in Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational, coordination, and project management skills, with high attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to follow through
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel spreadsheets and budget tracking. Technology savvy and Canva experience a plus.
  • A self-starter who can juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor, with a collaborative spirit and a servant's attitude
  • Written Spanish language proficiency a plus, but not required
  • Personal alignment with and adherence to the Bible as God's Word, and agreement with our Statement of Faith

Are you a people-person with a knack for organization and a positive attitude? We're looking for a dynamic team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and loves building strong relationships. In this role, you'll put your coordination and project management skills to work, ensuring everything runs smoothly with precision and attention to detail. A professional demeanor, enthusiasm, and creativity will set you apart. If you're ready to join a fun, supportive team where no two days are the same, we'd love to meet you!
