About Vala’s

Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25+ food locations. Our mission at Vala’s is to bring happiness to the world by creating a place where magical memories are shared between families and friends- one person, one pumpkin, one experience at a time.

Responsibilities

This seasonal position reports directly to the location Team Leader. Barnyard Adventure and Train Staff are responsible for all aspects of their assigned ride, including monitoring guests and ensuring best practice and safety procedures are followed. This is a seasonal, part to full time position.

  • Run assigned ride, ensuring adherence to standard operating and safety procedures
  • Responsible to monitor efficiency of rides, stepping in to support all positions as needed
  • Fills out and reviews daily checklists, including documentation of opening and closing procedures
  • Communicates needs for maintenance with the Team Leader
  • Interacts with guests in a friendly manner at all times

Requirements:

  • 24 years of age or older
  • Experience driving tractors
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Willingness to learn multiple roles and tasks
  • Ability to work and lead in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work in variable weather conditions
  • Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, twist, and reach for extended periods
  • Ability to monitor surroundings, including visual and auditory, for hazards or safety concerns
