Posting Summary
The Aging & Brain Health Alliance in the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience (CMBN), at Rutgers University-Newark seeks a Post-Doctoral Associate with training in neuroscience, cognitive science, psychology, public health, kinesiology, or a related field, and an interest in interdisciplinary research on aging and Alzheimer's disease prevention. The Post-Doctoral Associate will contribute to NIH-funded studies of cognitive aging and Alzheimer's disease risk in older African Americans, including the Pathways to Healthy Aging in African Americans longitudinal cohort study and the Exercise to Improve Brain Health in Older African Americans randomized controlled trial. The fellow will work within a multidisciplinary team integrating cognitive neuroscience, neuropsychology, genetics, neuroimaging, exercise science, public health, sleep research, and biomarker science to investigate factors that promote cognitive resilience and reduce dementia risk. The position provides advanced training in cognitive aging, neuropsychological assessment, longitudinal data analysis, community-engaged science, grant development, and academic career advancement.
