Search Engine Rater information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Search Engine Rater, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Search Engine Rater, you need strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of web search and internet culture, often supported by a high school diploma or higher. Familiarity with online evaluation tools, search engines, and sometimes proprietary rating guidelines is typically required. Excellent communication, time management, and the ability to follow complex instructions set top performers apart. These abilities ensure that search results are accurately evaluated, improving the quality and relevance of information presented to users.

What are some common challenges faced by Search Engine Raters, and how can they be managed?

Search Engine Raters often encounter the challenge of interpreting complex guidelines and applying them consistently across a wide range of search queries and content. Staying up-to-date with frequent updates to these guidelines requires attention to detail and adaptability. Managing productivity within strict deadlines while avoiding repetitive strain can also be difficult. To succeed, it helps to review guideline updates regularly, take scheduled breaks, and engage with available support forums or training resources to clarify uncertainties.

What are Search Engine Raters?

Search Engine Raters are individuals who evaluate and rate the quality and relevance of search engine results. They help companies like Google and Bing improve their algorithms by providing feedback on how well search results meet user intent. Raters follow detailed guidelines to assess webpages, images, videos, and other content, ensuring search results are useful and accurate. This role typically involves working from home on a flexible schedule and requires attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Job description

Description:

The Solutions Team (TST) is a healthcare-specialized managed IT and cybersecurity provider serving surgical and specialty medical practices across 41 states. We've grown to $11M in revenue with virtually no formal marketing. Now we're investing — and we need the operator who will build the engine.

This is a builder role. You won't inherit a machine or department and will need to build one.

What you'll own:

- HubSpot migration and full CRM buildout-? List management, lead generation and marketing attribution

-Website redesign and SEO/AEO strategy

- Trade show marketing (AAOMS, AAO-HNS, AAOS)

- All marketing vendors — hired, managed, and held accountable

- Shock and awe package and full sales collateral suite

- Weekly marketing dashboard reported directly to the CEO

What we're looking for:

- 10+ years of B2B marketing experience

- You've built or led a marketing department as well as performed as a solo contributor

- Hands-on HubSpot and Keap proficiency (not just "familiar with")

- Full-stack operator: CRM, SEO, email, content, events, direct mail

- You can show documented, measurable results from prior roles

- MSP or healthcare IT experience is a strong plus

This is not the right role if you need a playbook handed to you.

TST has a 96% client retention rate, a genuinely unoccupied market position, and a leadership team committed to serious marketing investment for the first time. The person who builds this will have a measurable impact on a company's trajectory.
