What is a seal coat?

Seal coaters are professionals who apply a protective coating, called sealcoat, to asphalt surfaces such as driveways, parking lots, and roads. The sealcoat helps protect the asphalt from the damaging effects of water, oil, and UV rays, extending the life of the pavement. Seal coating also enhances the appearance of the surface by providing a fresh, black finish. These workers often prepare the surface, apply the sealant using specialized equipment, and ensure even coverage for optimal protection.
