Summary:
A Maintenance Manager II at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Maintenance team supporting efforts to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance within the maintenance department. This position involves monitoring the operations of all machinery and equipment within the facility, including refrigeration operations, boilers, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and is ideal for someone who utilizes strategic thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintenance Staff Management:
    • Schedule and direct maintenance staff.
    • Develop and implement a training program for subordinate maintenance staff.
    • Develop open communication with machine operators, department supervisors, and managers.
  2. Safety and Compliance Administration:
    • Administer process safety management and risk management plan.
    • Administer and direct maintenance department safety plans and procedures.
    • Interact with regulatory agencies as necessary EPA, OSHA, DEQ, City, and State inspectors.
  3. Operation and Project Oversight:
    • Formulate and implement preventative maintenance schedule for facility machinery and equipment.
    • Oversee refrigeration plant operations, maintenance, and repairs.
    • Oversee production plant equipment maintenance and repair.
    • Budget for maintenance operations.
    • Develop working relationships with outside vendors.
    • Develop alternating schedules for weekend or after-hours emergency response.
    • Oversee new installation projects.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.
What you bring to Pacific Seafood
Education and Experience
  • Required
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • Minimum of five years' experience operating and maintaining industrial refrigeration systems utilizing Ammonia and Freon refrigerants.
    • Experience managing and directing a team of technicians in preventative maintenance, repair, operations, and safety.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Preferred
    • EPA Universal Certification.
    • Industrial Refrigeration Certification.
    • Forklift Certification.
    • Background in electrical (single phase & 3 phase), refrigeration, welding, and fabrication
    • Experience operating and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems and facility electrical systems
    • Experience using common welding processes and fabrication with an emphasis in stainless and aluminum.
