Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) leads educational initiatives, supports clinical staff development, and promotes regulatory compliance through ongoing training and competency programs.
Responsibilities for Staff Development Coordinator (SDC):
  • Ensure the center maintains appropriate staffing levels and nursing care to support quality resident outcomes.
  • Develop, coordinate, and provide education and training programs for new and existing employees.
  • Conduct employee orientation and ongoing in-service education to ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and organized education records, competency validations, and required documentation.
  • Assist with admissions as needed and support the nursing department's overall workflow and resident care units.
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and promote continuous staff development.
  • Monitor compliance with mandatory training requirements and clinical competencies.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives through education, coaching, and staff development.

Qualifications for Staff Development Coordinator (SDC):
  • Must possess a current, active, and unencumbered RN license in the state of Massachusetts
  • Prior experience as a Staff Development Coordinator, Infection Preventionist, or similar educational leadership role within a nursing center or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong ability to build positive relationships and gain support from staff at all levels.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of long-term care regulations, nursing education, and staff competency requirements.
