AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Engineering & Analysis, Test & Evaluation, and Training. Responsibilities * Support Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) in Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of Fly-By-Wire (FBW) Ship Control Systems (SCS) for U.S. Navy submarines.
* Review engineering specifications, documents, drawings, and plans, * Review system, software, and hardware test procedures. * Witness Formal Qualification and System Acceptance Testing at land-based test facilities.
* Validate requirements. * Perform Audits of computer software units. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or Computer Science field.
* Have an active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. * U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance * Proven experience working with US Navy submarine.
At least 0 - 2 years of experience in: * US Navy submarine Ship Control Systems.
