Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support Agile delivery teams working on Microsoft Azure cloud and IT operations initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience facilitating Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban practices and managing project work alongside operational and business-as-usual activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum, Kanban, and Scrumban ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support teams managing project work along with operational and business-as-usual activities.
  • Remove impediments and coordinate resolution of cross-team dependencies and delivery risks.
  • Track sprint progress, team capacity, action items, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Project Managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Promote Agile principles, continuous improvement, transparency, and team accountability.
  • Track work items, defects, incidents, and project activities using Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Apply ITIL/ITSM concepts, including incident, problem, and change management, within Agile delivery processes.
  • Coordinate dependencies across Azure Compute, Networking, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps, Azure Policy, IAM, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Provide clear status updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and encourage collaboration across distributed teams.
  • Support release planning, deployment coordination, operational readiness, and post-release reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile delivery leadership role.
  • Strong experience facilitating Scrum, Kanban, or Scrumban teams.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Compute, Networking, Azure Monitor, Azure DevOps, Azure Policy, IAM, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Ability to understand technical discussions, identify dependencies, and communicate delivery impacts.
  • Strong knowledge of Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL/ITSM concepts.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Proven experience coordinating onshore, offshore, and distributed teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate technical and operational challenges into business-relevant updates.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Pleasanton, California.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CSM, PSM I/II, or SAFe Scrum Master certification.
