Job description

Preferred Dental Group is a well-established, patient-centered dental practice looking for an experienced dental assistant to join our team. Whether you're looking for a full-time role or a flexible part-time schedule, we'd love to connect with someone who takes pride in their clinical skills, genuinely enjoys working with patients, and thrives in a collaborative, professional environment.

What you'll do

  • Chair-side assisting for general dentistry procedures including restorations, extractions, crown and bridge, and more
  • Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral photos
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories per OSHA and infection control standards
  • Greet and seat patients, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable, positive experience at every visit
  • Support front-to-back flow by communicating effectively with providers, hygienists, and front desk team
  • Assist with lab work, impressions, and temporary restorations as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical chart documentation

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of dental assisting experience in a clinical setting
  • Expanded functions dental assistant (EFDA) certification a strong plus
  • Radiography certification required (or ability to obtain promptly)
  • Proficiency with digital X-ray and practice management software
  • Strong interpersonal skills — patients remember how you made them feel
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-first attitude with a professional, positive demeanor

Schedule

We offer flexible scheduling for both full-time and part-time candidates. Our office hours are Monday–Wednesday 8–5, Thursday 12–8, Friday 7–3, and Saturday 9–2. We'll work with you to find a schedule that fits.
