Physician (MD/DO) Veteran C&P Examiner
Location: Within 10 Miles of Tallahassee, FL
Schedule: 2 Days per Week
Compensation: $1,100 $1,150 per Day
Position Overview
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physician (MD/DO) to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability examinations for U.S. military Veterans in the Tallahassee, FL area. This is a part-time, 2-day-per-week opportunity focused exclusively on conducting disability evaluations for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). There is no treatment, prescribing, or ongoing patient care, allowing providers to focus on objective medical assessments in a structured outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations for Veterans.
- Review medical records, service history, and supporting documentation prior to each evaluation.
- Perform focused physical examinations and complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
- Accurately document objective medical findings in accordance with VA standards and guidelines.
- Complete detailed electronic documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient scheduling and quality reporting.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted MD or DO license in Florida.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in an applicable specialty.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
- Previous experience with C&P examinations, disability evaluations, occupational medicine, primary care, or internal medicine is preferred but not required.
