About LTC Scripts

LTC Scripts is a rapidly growing long-term care pharmacy serving assisted living, memory care, behavioral health, detox, correctional, and skilled nursing facilities throughout New Jersey.

We are seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our weekend team. This position is ideal for an experienced pharmacist looking to supplement their income while working in a collaborative, patient-focused long-term care environment.

Position Summary

The Weekend Staff Pharmacist is responsible for verifying prescriptions, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, supporting pharmacy technicians, and providing excellent service to our healthcare facility partners.

This position focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and clinical judgment in a fast-paced long-term care pharmacy.

Responsibilities

Verify prescription orders accurately and efficiently

Review prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, interactions, allergies, and dosing

Supervise and support pharmacy technicians

Counsel facility staff when appropriate

Resolve insurance and billing issues as needed

Process admissions, discharges, and STAT medication orders

Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and facility personnel

Ensure compliance with New Jersey Board of Pharmacy regulations, DEA requirements, and company policies

Participate in quality assurance and workflow improvement initiatives

Assist with emergency medication requests and after-hours issues when necessary

Qualifications

Required

Active New Jersey Pharmacist license in good standing

Strong attention to detail

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions

Commitment to exceptional patient care

Preferred

Long-term care pharmacy experience

Experience with FrameworkLTC (SoftWriters)

Familiarity with Medicare Part D and Medicaid billing

Experience serving assisted living, skilled nursing, behavioral health, or detox facilities

Immunization certification is a plus

Schedule

Weekend shifts (Saturday, Sunday, or both)
