The Role:

This role reports ON-SITE at our West Hollywood Office.

Moonbug Entertainment is seeking a Script Coordinator to join the Brand Partnerships running from their LA office.

Requirements

Assist the writers in their daily production functions including but not limited to:

  • Maintain and coordinate writing schedule.
  • Attend writer's meetings and prepare follow-up notes.
  • Transcribe notes into the correct format for submission to the writers, internal teams, and clients.
  • Distribute premise, outlines, and script drafts and revisions internally.
  • Coordinate feedback with the creative executive to the writers and inline with the schedule.
  • Send and track scripts to script clearance and track the reports for suggested  legal compliance.
  • Maintain, track, and update a comprehensive database and files of premises, outlines, and scripts, including all drafts and submissions.
  • Attend weekly production meetings and provide updates at meetings and for relevant stakeholder updates.
  • Upload and manage script files on Frame.io and maintain a tracker with links and status.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in writing and production, or an internship in children's animation or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Final Draft and Google Drive/Sheets.  
  • Strong writing skills and knowledge of the animation pipeline.
  • Native or Professional Working Proficiency in Japanese language. (Needs the ability to write and read scripts in Japanese and understand cultural and language nuances.)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be comfortable working across multiple time zones and multi-tasking multiple projects at once.
  • Must be a self-starter and have excellent teamwork skills.
