How do script writers typically collaborate with directors and producers during a project?

Script writers often work closely with directors and producers throughout the development and production process. After submitting a draft, writers may participate in meetings to discuss revisions based on creative direction, budget, or logistical constraints. Script writers' salaries vary based on experience, industry, and project type. Entry-level writers may earn around $30,000 to $50,000 annually, while experienced professionals can make $100,000 or more, especially in television and film. Freelance script writers often negotiate per-project rates or royalties.
