Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a COTS Report Engineer.

Succesful candidate will design, develop, and implement reports and widgets to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance for various Custom-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications. You will also support the IT Support and Application Administration duties of the team and help to customize COTS applications for users and programs.

Responsibilities
  • Bring report development expertise to the team
  • Participate as a developer on this Agile Scrum team
  • Work collaboratively and efficiently with a cross-site National Security Enterprise team to deliver high-quality products
  • Participate in Scrum events such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective
  • Write code and scripts for reports and customization of COTS applications
  • Provide IT Support and Application Administration of COTS applications
  • Create and maintain documentation
  • Drive report development
    • Develop S030 document-style reports using IBM Rational Publishing Engine (RPE)
    • Develop metric reports (dashboards) using IBM Jazz Report Service (JRS)
    • Optimize queries with Lifecycle Query Engine (LQE)
  • Collaborate with Defense Program customers to define reporting needs and improve data quality
  • Produce Defense Program compliant Word, PDF, and Excel outputs
  • Translate requirements business needs into scalable report specifications
  • Create reusable templates and document technical work for standards creation
  • Troubleshoot and enhance report performance
  • Maintain and support report deployments
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree along with 5 years or more of relevant experience
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE Q level security clearance
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Willing to be on-site 3 days a week to meet mission deliverables and service level agreement requirements

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with JavaScript
  • Expert in SQL and databases, with experience writing or modifying SPARQL/SQL queries
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Desired Skills:

  • Active DOE L or Q clearance
  • Experience with IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) product suite, including DOORS Next (DN), Engineering Workflow Management (EWM), Global Configuration Management (GCM), Engineering Test Management (ETM), Jazz Report Service (JRS), Rational Publishing Engine (RPE), Document Builder, and Lifecycle Query Engine (LQE)
  • Understanding of requirements management and traceability, including object-oriented programming concepts related to artifacts, attributes, modules, link types, and configurations
  • Custom report development experience, especially with Defense Program compliant outputs
  • Familiarity with REST APIs for data extraction and integration
  • Experience with Git source code management
  • Experience with COTS applications and their administration and deployment across various environments
  • Experience supporting classified implementations and report validation/testing
  • Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira
  • Experience working in SAFe & Agile environments
