SUPERVISING CX AGENT

As a global leader in consulting, engineering, and commissioning services, we specialize in highly technical buildings and the systems that bring them to life. We are currently seeking a performance-driven, motivated Supervising Commissioning Agent. This role will be based out of Hamilton, NJ.  

You will demonstrate your engineering skills and by leveraging the firm's technology centric competitive edge you will work with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and client personnel to design, test, make operational, optimize, and validate Electrical systems in multiple 24x7 mission critical plants, pharmaceutical, healthcare, power generation or similar environments.

Job Responsibilities 

This position will involve developing and coordinating functional testing of multi-stack equipment and multi-redundant system configurations within a trade. You will review criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning. 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Write and administer Commissioning Plans, and Systems Manuals consistent with Syska format 
  • (PM) Coordinates with accounting to prepare monthly project invoices.  Monitors project accounts receivable and contact the client as needed to expediate payment.
  • Addresses Risk Management issues on Projects
  • Continuously build a strong Networking system within Syska Hennessey Group and in the marketplace.
  • Coordinates and assigns various tasks to be performed by the commissioning team
  • Cross-sell all Syska serves throughout client organization locally and geographically
  • Ensuring optimal project information flow (internally and externally)
  • Establishes commissioning standards, specifications and criteria for projects
  • generate new sales
  • Lead QA/QC process for projects
  • Leads and supervises staff members as they perform their tasks
  • Leads Technical Delivery of the Project
  • Manage Project Scope in proposal. Identify "Scope-Creep" addressing with client in a timely manner.
  • Manages commissioning duties, such as issue reports, issues resolutions, contractor submittals, and design drawings, etc.
  • Prepares proposal and administer project contracts between Syska Hennessy Group and the client, including Add Service Agreements.
  • Supervises and leads commissioning meetings and develop scripts.
  • Supervises preparation of reports and analysis of results of the commissioning efforts
  • Understanding and managing client expectations; Tight project schedule control
  • Writes proposals for large scale project.

Job Requirements 

To succeed in this role, your experience would include commissioning or designing of large Mechanical systems for industrial, datacenter, pharmaceutical processes, or laboratory clean rooms. Your technical strengths must be complemented by self-motivation, relationship building skills, and effective communication skills. 

Commissioning Engineer requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or required years of experience, including commissioning of large distribution systems for industrial, datacenter, pharmaceutical processes, or laboratory type facilities. 
  • A minimum of 7 years field experience in hands-on testing, validation and troubleshooting of large Electrical or Mechanical systems 
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in the MEP field 
  • Possesses basic understanding of proper system selection 
  • Exhibits basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principals to building designs 
  • Exhibits thorough understanding of applicable codes 
  • Experience with ASHRAE, BCxA, and/or PECI Cx and RETRO-Cx procedures and protocols, a plus
