Job description

Leidos is seeking a Software Developer for a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsor's Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM /ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. The Software Engineer will work with a large team of developers, software engineers and data engineers. The successfully candidate will support continuity of our customer's mission by helping to modernize and implement industry standards while ensuring secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of IT systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Experience in modernization of legacy applications (new software development)
  • Strong communication, design, and documentation skills
  • Comfort and familiarity in maintaining legacy applications
  • Strong time and workflow management skills
  • Comfort and familiarity designing and utilizing custom ETL methodology
  • Knowledge/experience with the development of Cloudformation scripts to generate network and application
  • infrastructure in a repeatable fashion
  • Ability to write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instances
  • Comfort and familiarity in unit testing, peer code review, and automated testing techniques like Selenium (create, edit, maintain, execute)
  • Experience with Python.
  • Develop Java and Python applications that leverage Neo4j and Elasticsearch
  • Ability to Implement NodeJS PM2 for application monitoring and resiliency
  • Utilized SAFe agile techniques to manage workload
  • Leverage Amazon Web Services
  • Experience creating RESTful API
  • Willingness to mentor and teach junior developers' community best practices in a constructive fashion
  • Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologies
  • Ability to methodically think through new and exciting challenges in a collaborative team environment in order to provide technically sound solutions

Required Skills

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must have experience with Java, Springboot, Python and the Cloud / Amazon Web Services

  • Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, or Rundeck
  • Experiencing working in Command Line (RH Linux)
