About the Internship


GIR Software Services is looking for motivated Business Development & Marketing Interns to support our growing sales and marketing initiatives. This internship provides hands-on experience in business development, lead generation, outbound marketing, market research, CRM management, LinkedIn/email outreach, and event marketing.

Interns will work closely with the Business Development and Marketing teams and will have the opportunity to contribute directly to GIR's customer acquisition and growth initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the Business Development team with lead generation and customer research.
  • Research prospects across different industry verticals and build industry-specific lead lists.
  • Conduct LinkedIn and email outreach to prospective customers.
  • Support outbound marketing campaigns and customer acquisition initiatives.
  • Assist with market research and competitive research.
  • Maintain and update CRM systems and business development databases.
  • Support sales activities and follow-up with prospects.
  • Assist with GIR-sponsored events, including planning, invitations, RSVPs, coordination, and event support.
  • Attend relevant NetSuite user and industry events when required.
  • Capture appropriate photos and videos during GIR events for marketing purposes.
  • Support other business development and marketing activities as assigned.


Video Marketing Responsibilities


The Houston-based Video Marketing Intern will additionally:

  • Represent GIR professionally in video marketing campaign 
  • Participate in GIR video content and appear confidently on camera.
  • Help plan, record, and maintain a consistent video marketing schedule.
  • Assist with developing video concepts, scripts, and content ideas.
  • Support LinkedIn and other digital marketing content initiatives.
  • Ensure GIR's brand messaging and professional standards are consistently represented.
  • Work with the team to improve video quality, presentation, and engagement.

The Video Marketing Intern must be confident, polished, professional, comfortable on camera, technically capable, and passionate about representing GIR's brand.

Work Schedule – Houston Interns


The internship will be in-office Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch break from 12:00 PM–1:00 PM.

Interns are expected to maintain consistent attendance and communicate formally and in advance regarding college classes, academic commitments, or enrollment in a new course that may affect their internship schedule. Any changes should include the relevant dates and times.


Compensation & Opportunity

  • Hourly rate: $16–$25/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • This is a part-time, contract internship with no benefits.
  • A full-time employment opportunity may be considered based on internship performance, business requirements, and overall fit. The final decision will be made by GIR management.
