Job description

The Department of Athletics at Wofford College, a member of the Southern Conference, is seeking applications for an Athletics Marketing & Game Operations Intern. Wofford College sponsors 20 NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic programs.

This is a 10-month internship beginning in July 2026 and concluding in May 2027. The position will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of gameday operations for various intercollegiate athletic events.

  • Support the setup and breakdown of Wofford Athletics events, including equipment, facilities, and promotional materials.

  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance fan engagement and overall game presentation.

  • Create and execute scripts and timing sheets for all home events, including the coordination of promotional activities.

  • Assist with the creation of graphics and creative content to promote athletic programs.

  • Represent Wofford Athletics at community events to increase brand awareness.

  • Support community outreach and engagement efforts within the Spartanburg community.

  • Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by athletic department staff.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Assistant AD for Marketing and Video.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest or experience in athletics marketing, event management, or game operations.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with graphic design or creative content development is a plus (Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
