    The position requires developing data science, control solutions and software ideas / techniques that differentiate Applied Service offerings using semiconductor process data. The person will develop, test and analyze advanced algorithms, and implement those solutions with prototype user interfaces which will allow these applications to be tested worldwide at service sites. The position will entail the following:

    • Assist in developing data science software prototypes and interfaces for monitoring semiconductor process tools using Smart Manufacturing techniques such as Predictive Analytics and Digital Twin

    • Develop Python scripts to implement key concepts;

    • Knowledge and application of statistical / data science techniques, including both conventional Machine Learning, i.e., decision trees, regression, and Artificial Intelligence, i.e., neural nets

    • Ability to comprehend recent AI/ML papers and provide steps to reproduce similar results

    • Ability to present findings to technical audience and publish papers

  • Additional Job Description
    • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor's, or Master's degree program in Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Data Science, Computer Science.

    • Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a GPA of 3.5 or above on a 4.0 scale

    • Experience in software development, or semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred

    • Quick learner

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
