What is a script coordinator?

Script Coordinators are professionals in the television and film industry responsible for managing the flow of scripts between writers, producers, and production departments. They ensure that script versions are up-to-date, properly formatted, and distributed to the necessary team members. Script Coordinators also check for continuity, track script changes, and may handle legal clearances or proofreading. Their organizational skills are essential to keep production running smoothly and to prevent costly errors. This role acts as a bridge between the creative and logistical sides of script production.

What are the main challenges a script coordinator faces when managing multiple script versions in a fast-paced production?

Script Coordinators often juggle multiple script drafts and revisions, especially in television or film productions with tight deadlines. One of the biggest challenges is ensuring that all departments—such as production, wardrobe, and post-production—are working from the most current script version. This requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proactive communication to prevent costly errors or confusion on set. Utilizing script management software and maintaining clear records are vital strategies for overcoming these challenges.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a script coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Script Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of script formatting and production processes, often supported by experience in television or film production. Proficiency in scriptwriting software such as Final Draft, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with production tracking systems is typically required. Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities help you efficiently manage script revisions and liaise between writers, producers, and other departments. These skills are crucial to ensure script accuracy, smooth workflow, and effective communication throughout the production process.

Job description

Full-Time or Part-Time Staffing Coordinator – House of Hearts ABA

Remote | Flexible Schedule
Part-Time (15–25 hours/week)
Help us match heart-driven professionals with the children who need them most.

Compensation: $25 Hourly

About House of Hearts ABA
At House of Hearts ABA, we deliver premium, compassionate ABA therapy services to children and families across Florida and Colorado. We're a heart-led, family-centered company committed to creating real impact through ethical, high-quality care.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Part-Time Staffing Coordinator to help us staff our children’s cases with the right therapists—quickly, efficiently, and with care.

Your Role

The Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for staffing new and existing client cases by identifying top candidates, coordinating interviews, and helping ensure our families receive timely services. You’ll work closely with our leadership and clinical teams to make strategic staffing decisions that align with client needs and location.

Preferred Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who brings more than just organization — we want a team member with real experience. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Prior experience in staffing, HR coordination, or recruiting, ideally within healthcare or service-based industries.

  • Hands-on experience conducting interviews and evaluating candidates professionally.

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems or hiring platforms like Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and others.

  • A background in scheduling or coordinating across multiple calendars.

  • A clear understanding of confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive hiring processes.

If you’ve worked in a staffing agency, HR department, healthcare admin, or recruiting setting — you’ll feel right at home here.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review all new cases and identify open staffing needs.

  • Post job listings on platforms like Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and others.

  • Source and screen top candidates based on geographic location, experience, and availability.

  • Conduct initial interviews using provided interview scripts and evaluation criteria.

  • Schedule second-round interviews with the CEO and place them on the CEO’s calendar.

  • Maintain updated records of applicants, interview outcomes, and placement progress.

  • Collaborate with the onboarding team to ensure smooth transitions post-hiring.

Who You Are
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive.

  • Comfortable leading candidate interviews and asking thoughtful questions.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Familiar with recruiting platforms and virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).

  • Professional and compassionate — you represent our brand to future team members.

  • Prior experience in healthcare, staffing, or ABA is a plus but not required.

Perks of Working with Us
  • Fully remote with flexible scheduling.

  • Interview training and scripts provided — we’ll set you up for success.

  • Be part of a small, passionate team making a big difference.

  • Room to grow as our organization expands.
