Maintenance Technician - PSC41525
Pay: $60,000 - 90,000/ year + Benefits
Industry: Plastic films, wraps, and coatings
Schedule: Monday - Friday / 1st and 2nd shifts available
Location: Open to relocating and local talent.
We are a stable and growing company seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to support the seamless operations of our plastic material processing facility located in MI. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of a range of specialized machinery within our production environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on extrusion coating equipment (extruders, die heads, chill roll stacks, laminators).
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain and repair mixing and compounding equipment (high-speed mixers, twin-screw extruders, Banbury mixers).
  • Oversee maintenance of fluidized bed coaters and dip coating tanks.
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and logs.
  • Assist with installation and setup of new equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience with industrial plastics processing equipment (e.g., extruders, die heads, mixers, compounding machines, rollers, dip coating systems).
  • Experience troubleshooting automation systems is a plus.
  • Retained strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (up to 480V).
  • Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot effectively.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
