Job Summary

InfoSend is seeking a Senior Digital Print Operator to join our growing production team. As a key member of our transactional print and mail operation, you will help oversee the production of critical customer communications including statements, invoices, notices, and other variable-data documents.

In this role, you will operate, troubleshoot, and optimize high-speed laser and inkjet printing equipment while serving as a technical resource for the production team. You will help ensure exceptional print quality, maximize equipment performance, and support on-time delivery for our clients.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and coordinate print production jobs from setup through completion, ensuring quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery
  • Serve as a technical resource for Print Operators and production staff by providing guidance, troubleshooting support, and hands-on training
  • Communicate with Client Services, Sales, IT, and Production leadership to ensure projects meet specifications, quality standards, and deadlines
  • Set up, program, operate, and optimize high-speed laser and inkjet printers producing variable-data documents
  • Monitor print quality throughout production runs and perform advanced quality control inspections
  • Identify root causes of print defects and implement corrective actions to minimize waste and rework
  • Review job specifications, data files, and production workflows to ensure accuracy prior to production
  • Verify integrity of variable-data files and printed output
  • Monitor production queues and prioritize work to meet service-level commitments and customer deadlines
  • Assist with print-to-mail workflows and coordinate production readiness with downstream operations
  • Stage, acclimate, and change paper rolls safely and efficiently while maintaining optimal equipment performance
  • Perform preventive maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting on printing equipment, including rollers, print heads, filters, sensors, and related components
  • Diagnose and resolve print quality, equipment, workflow, and production issues to minimize downtime
  • Operate and troubleshoot inline finishing equipment including folders, bundlers, stackers, and related production equipment
  • Assist with onboarding and cross-training team members
  • Identify opportunities for workflow improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and throughput
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with vendors and equipment service providers
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, security, and operational procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

We're looking for experienced production professionals who take ownership of their work, demonstrate strong technical expertise, and are committed to delivering high-quality results.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-5 years of digital print production, transactional print, mail production, or related manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience operating high-speed laser and inkjet printing equipment in a production environment
  • Experience with transactional print, direct mail, statement processing, customer communications, or variable-data printing preferred
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize competing demands, and perform effectively in a fast-paced production setting
  • Strong attention to detail, including inspecting files for font issues, image resolution, data integrity, print defects, and production accuracy
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written and verbal instructions, technical manuals, and production specifications
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take initiative
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications
  • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, print management software, DFEs, and production workflow systems
  • Experience with continuous roll-fed printing equipment strongly preferred
  • Experience with digital front ends (DFEs) such as Fiery, Prisma, TotalFlow, or similar platforms preferred
  • Knowledge of USPS postal regulations, mail production workflows, and print-to-mail processes preferred
  • Experience training, mentoring, or supporting team members preferred
  • Experience meeting production metrics and service-level agreements (SLAs) preferred
  • Ability to pass drug screening, E-Verify, and background check
