Job description

Job Title: SHUTTER AND SCREEN INSTALLER

Department: Installation

Reports to: Install Dispatcher & Local Office Manager

Job Summary:

Install and service hurricane shutters, motorized screens, and related systems on residential and commercial properties.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Measure and assess installation sites to ensure proper fit and function of shutters and screens.
  • Install accordion, rolldown, Bahama, colonial shutters, and motorized screen systems using hand and power tools.
  • Mount tracks, guides, and housing units to walls or ceilings using appropriate fasteners.
  • Connect electric motors, control switches, or remote systems for motorized units.
  • Cut materials, including aluminum and screen, to fit designated openings.
  • Secure units to buildings and make final adjustments for smooth operation.
  • Remove or replace damaged parts and perform repairs on existing systems.
  • Test units for proper operation and alignment after installation.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure service expectations are met.
  • Complete work orders and collect payments upon completion when required.
  • Maintain cleanliness of job sites and follow all safety procedures.
    • Essential Job Skills/Requirements:
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Must possess a valid state driver's license or be able to obtain one prior to employment.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds repeatedly.
  • Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the position, including climbing ladders, lifting, balancing, and stooping.
