Screen Enclosure information

What is a screen enclosure?

Screen enclosures are structures, typically made of aluminum frames and mesh screening, designed to cover patios, pools, or other outdoor spaces. They help keep out insects, debris, and harsh sunlight while allowing fresh air and natural light to enter. Screen enclosures can enhance the usability of outdoor areas by providing a comfortable, protected environment. They are commonly used in residential and commercial properties, especially in regions with warm climates.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a screen enclosure installer?

To thrive as a Screen Enclosure Installer, you need strong skills in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing screen enclosures, often supported by experience in construction or carpentry. Familiarity with hand and power tools, as well as the ability to read blueprints or installation plans, is typically required, and some employers may prefer OSHA safety certification. Attention to detail, problem-solving, and good communication are key soft skills for ensuring accuracy and collaborating with clients or team members. These skills are essential for delivering safe, durable, and visually appealing enclosures that meet customer expectations and building codes.

What are some common challenges faced by screen enclosure installers, and how can they be managed effectively on the job?

Screen enclosure installers often encounter challenges such as working in varying weather conditions, managing precise measurements for custom fits, and handling heavy or awkward materials safely. To overcome these, it's important to follow safety protocols, use proper tools, and communicate closely with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently. Additionally, staying organized and paying attention to detail helps prevent errors during installation, ensuring the final structure is both secure and visually appealing.

Build the Teams That Build Kovach

Chandler, AZ | Hybrid Eligible | Full-Time | Exempt
Salary Range $70,000 to 85,000

Why You'll Love This Opportunity
  • Employee-Owned Company (ESOP)
  • Hybrid work opportunity based on demonstrated performance
  • LinkedIn Recruiter license provided
  • Recruit across Corporate, Manufacturing, and Construction Operations
  • Own the candidate journey from workforce planning through successful onboarding
  • Help build recruiting systems that scale with a growing company
  • Work directly with organizational leaders and influence hiring decisions
Do You Believe Recruiting Can Be Better?

If you've ever looked at a recruiting process and thought, "There has to be a better way," you might be exactly who we're looking for.

At Kovach, recruiting isn't about filling openings. It's about building teams, strengthening our culture, and helping people build meaningful careers.

We're building a recruiting function that values relationships over transactions, partnerships over order-taking, and continuous improvement over "the way we've always done it."

We're looking for a Recruiter who wants to help build that future with us.

You'll have the autonomy to recommend better ideas, the support to implement them, and the opportunity to see the impact of your work across the organization.

About the Role

As our Recruiter, you'll partner directly with hiring managers across our Corporate, Manufacturing, and Construction Operations to attract exceptional talent and create an outstanding hiring experience from the initial workforce planning discussion through successful onboarding.

This isn't a recruiting position where success is measured only by how quickly you fill a requisition.

Success means helping managers make great hiring decisions, delivering an exceptional candidate experience, building talent pipelines after positions become urgent, and continuously improving the way recruiting is done.

No two days are the same. One day you may be recruiting a Project Manager, the next a CAD Drafter, Glazier, Estimator, Manufacturing Supervisor, HR professional, or executive-level position. If you enjoy variety and learning different parts of a business, you'll thrive in this role.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop recruiting strategies.
  • Recruit for Corporate, Manufacturing, and Construction positions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate job descriptions that support effective hiring.
  • Build proactive talent pipelines for recurring and difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Source active and passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, career fairs, trade organizations, colleges, technical schools, military transition programs, and other creative sourcing strategies.
  • Conduct structured phone screens and interviews.
  • Evaluate candidates based on qualifications, transferable skills, learning agility, and long-term potential.
  • Coordinate interviews while maintaining exceptional communication with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Prepare employment offers and coordinate onboarding activities to create an exceptional first-day experience.
  • Represent Kovach at career fairs, networking events, schools, and community outreach activities.
  • Analyze recruiting metrics and identify opportunities to improve hiring outcomes.
  • Utilize technology, automation, AI, and analytics to improve efficiency while maintaining sound professional judgment.
  • Recommend improvements that simplify, standardize, automate, and scale recruiting processes.
Who Thrives Here?

You'll probably enjoy this position if you naturally:

  • Build relationships quickly and earn people's trust.
  • Ask thoughtful questions after offering solutions.
  • Enjoy learning new technology.
  • Look for opportunities to improve processes.
  • Take ownership of your work and follow through on commitments.
  • Adapt quickly when priorities change.
  • Communicate openly and professionally.
  • Believe hiring great people is one of the most important things a business can do.

We recognize that exceptional recruiters come from many professional backgrounds.

Recruiting experience is valuable, but so is experience in customer service, operations, sales, leadership, project management, business development, or other relationship-focused roles where you've demonstrated the ability to build trust, solve problems, influence decisions, and learn quickly.

We hire for potential just as much as experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience demonstrating the ability to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and business leaders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new software and technology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing the recruiting process from workforce planning and sourcing through onboarding.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), preferably UKG Pro Recruiting or a comparable enterprise recruiting platform.
  • Experience coordinating onboarding activities and creating an exceptional new hire experience.
  • Experience recruiting professional, manufacturing, construction, or skilled trades positions.
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates using multiple recruiting channels.
  • Experience using recruiting metrics and analytics to improve hiring outcomes.

We're building an HR organization focused on innovation, continuous improvement, exceptional service, and scalable systems that support our future growth.

You'll work directly with an HR Director who believes in:

  • Sharing knowledge instead of protecting it.
  • Continuous learning and professional development.
  • Building scalable systems instead of temporary fixes.
  • Empowering employees to recommend and implement better ideas.
  • Using technology, automation, and AI responsibly to eliminate repetitive work and create more time for meaningful human interaction.

As our organization continues to grow, we expect our Human Resources team to grow with it. We're looking for people who want to build long-term careers while helping shape the future of HR at Kovach.

This position becomes eligible for a hybrid work arrangement after demonstrating the ability to independently perform the essential responsibilities of the role while consistently meeting performance expectations and business needs.

If you're excited by solving problems, helping people succeed, and leaving every process better than you found it, we'd love to meet you.

Bring your curiosity. Bring your ideas. Bring your passion for helping people succeed.

Apply today and help us build the teams that build Kovach.
