Under general supervision, to perform duties requiring the skill and experience of a journeyman painter; and to perform related work as required. Preparing surfaces for painting by washing or scraping paint from old surfaces and placing putty in nail holes and around windows; painting exterior woodwork, trim, etc.; painting and redecorating ceilings, walls, interior woodwork, and fixtures; mixing paints and matching colors; applying decorative or protective coats of varnish, lacquer, or enamel to furniture; stripping and refinishing old furniture; when required, assisting in rigging and moving any necessary scaffolding. 2 years of experience required in related work

Must be a resident of the city of Boston.
