Job description

Step into a day on our Goodyear team

You roll into the Real Alloy Goodyear facility, grab the day’s work orders, and head to the floor. A furnace fan is out of spec—your diagnostic tools confirm an electrical control issue. You trace prints, adjust a control loop, calibrate a sensor, and document the reading. Before lunch, you help rig scaffolding to access an overhead conveyor, replace a worn component, and verify alignment. After a quick temperature survey on a combustion line, you update maintenance logs and close out the job, all while staying laser-focused on safety.

Compensation & schedule
  • Pay range: $28 – $32 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
  • Day shift
  • Monday through Friday
What you will tackle
  • Diagnose and correct problems across mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Install, repair, inspect, test, calibrate, adjust, maintain, modify, construct, clean, and service production assets.
  • Work with electrical/electronic/pneumatic recording and control systems.
  • Plan work using prints, drawings, diagrams, manuals, and applicable codes.
  • Lay out, assemble, and wire component parts for system installations, replacements, and repairs.
  • Conduct and record tests, including temperature and combustion surveys.
  • Erect and remove ladders and scaffolding as needed; operate material-handling equipment and vehicles.
  • Keep accurate records and logs such as maintenance work orders, calibration entries, and calculation records.
  • Follow all safety rules and company policies without exception.
Tools, environment, and expectations
  • Work from elevated platforms and scaffolding when required.
  • Operate mobile equipment, and use both hand and power tools confidently.
  • Interpret diagnostic readouts and understand relevant test instruments.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
