Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Athletic Trainers coordinate and provides coverage for outside events on behalf of the Sports Medicine Center
  • Assist in the assessment and treatment of sport-related injuries at events designated by the Scotitsh Rite
  • Provide sports injury assessment at events, and on-site care of athletic injuries, such as immediate first aid and evaluation of injury status
  • Refer athletes requiring additional medical or health care services to the appropriate resources for such care (for example, the athlete's primary care physician or nearest hospital)

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in an accredited athletic training program or related field
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) certification preferred
  • License in the state of Texas
  • CPR required
