Job description

At Jeni’s, we’re devoted to making better ice creams and bringing people together. Our scoop shops are at the heart of how we serve this mission. They are where we offer the ice creams we work so hard to build from the ground up—where people come together to share joy and conversation. We love people. We love ice cream. We view ice cream as a form of art.

The job of the Shopkeeper is to lead the Shop team by training and role modeling exceptional customer service, beautiful scooping, hustling through lines and late night deep cleaning, and treating all customers and team members with care and respect. Shopkeepers are full-time employees also responsible for accounting, scheduling, inventory/ordering, and all HR functions (hiring, training, development, and performance management of all team members). This full-time position also involves working variable shifts, including opening shifts, closing shifts, and/or weekend shifts

The qualified Shopkeeper candidate:

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and achieve competing deadlines

  • Prior management experience, particularly in the service industry, is a plus but is not required
