Job Title: Data Scientist, Principal

Client: PG&E

Location: Hybrid - Oakland, CA

Duration: 12+ Months

Visa: USC/GC

Rate: $115 - $120/hr w2

Position Summary

The Principal Data Scientist leads the design, development, and execution of scripts, programs, models, user interfaces, algorithms, and end-to-end processes. Working with structured and unstructured data of varying scale and origin, the role produces defensible, valid, scalable, reproducible, and well-documented machine-learning and AI models (predictive or optimization) that support problem-solving and strategy development. The individual also educates non-technical stakeholders on the strengths, risks, and maturity of data-science solutions.
