Labcorp Aviation is seeking a full-time Pilatus (PC-12) Pilot for our world-class specimen cargo flight operations based in Burlington, North Carolina.

Work Condition and Schedule

  • Flexibility in schedule - varying hours
  • This position is based at the KBUY - Burlington-Alamance Regional Airport
  • Residency Requirement: Must reside within an one-hour drive of KBUY.
  • Diverse and inclusive team of aviation professionals.
  • Work in and from a modern, state-of-the-art hangar facility.
  • Occasional travel may be required for maintenance support or training (rare, multi-day assignments).
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs. (tools, equipment, baggage, cargo).
  • Uniform required during flight operations.
  • Participate in various company initiatives such as SOP development, safety reporting, and team meetings.
  • Work environment includes exposure to industrial noise, chemicals (fuel, oil, hydraulic fluid), machinery, and active aircraft.

Benefits:Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.Employees who are regularly scheduled toworka 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO. Job Responsibilities
Acts as Pilot-in-Command (P.I.C.) of company owned aircraft. Flying specimen routes assigned by scheduling.
Adheres to the rules and regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as per the Labcorp aviation general operations manual and company policy.
Retrieves and delivers medical specimens, freight, and personnel on both a scheduled and unscheduled basis as applicable.
Moderate physical effort (may include lifting up to 50 pounds); must comply with applicable safety procedures.
Varying flight schedule.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent

Must have a FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate - with an Airplane Single Engine Land with Instrument Rating.

Meet FAA Licensing Standards and Requirements w/1-3 years of relevant flight experience (Fixed Wing).
1200 Hours Total Flying Time (1000 hour must be fixed wing).
500 hours PIC (fixed wing)

Preferred Qualifications
Pilatus PC-12 experience
2500 Hours Total Flying Time
200 Hours, PIC in Turboprop and/or Multi-engine aircraft
200 Hours, PIC in Fixed Wind Aircraft with 200+ Horsepower Single engine / Complex aircraft experience
ATP Rating (Airline Transportation Pilot)
Four-year college degree

Additional Job Standards

  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong customer service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with pilots, mechanics, vendors, and team members.
  • Effective verbal communication skills to coordinate aircraft movements, fueling activities, and operational support.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures.
  • Ability to follow written procedures, technical manuals, and operational instructions.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to learn and develop within aviation operations.
  • Desire to build a career in aviation, flight operations, or aircraft services through hands-on experience and continuous learning.
