Job description

Title:                     Associate Director, Scientific Information

Department:      Scientific Information,   Global Medical & Regulatory Affairs

Hybrid:                 Candidates in NJ, PA, NY within 50 miles to the office

Job Purpose

The position holder is responsible for the overall management of the Scientific Information NA ROW department in providing medical and scientific support about Bracco products to external and internal customers from all countries outside of Europe.   

Main Responsibilities, Activities, Duties, and Tasks

  • Manage the receiving and responding to scientific/medical inquiries process for Scientific Information NA Rest of the World (SI NA ROW)
  • Preparing and reviewing customer responses
  • Review and close Parent Record for Product Quality Complaints
  • Play an instrumental role in the creating of the innovative AI systems
  • Review and updating Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
  • Submitting customer responses and FAQs for approval as needed
  • Evaluating annual performance and developing training plans for direct reports
  • Managing and tracking KPIs for Scientific Information NA activities
  • Managing outside vendors and contractors
  • Managing Scientific Information budget
  • Providing the Scientific Information North America (SI NA) monthly and quarterly status reports
  • Maintains compliance with local and global policies and regulations

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all SI NA staff are aligned with the goals of the department
  • Ensure staff are aligned with department processes and objectives
  • Manage and assess performance and participate in defining annual performance objectives
  • Manage AI systems and infrastructure to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Develop training plans for direct reports
  • Problem-solving by managing innovative AI products.
  • Providing input to the Dept Head, for Scientific Information budget development
  • Determining resource allocation
  • Prepare and update SI NA local and Global Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Collaborate with Scientific Information Europe (SI EU) to share information and to streamline processes 
  • Updating and maintaining medical literature
  • Interact with local foreign Bracco affiliates for medical inquiry procedures

Education

  • The position requires an advanced degree with certification as a Pharmacist, Nurse or Radiologic Technologist. A four-year college degree in health sciences with pharmaceutical experience is acceptable. Master’s degree is preferrable.

Professional Experience, Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of Federal Regulations pertaining to dissemination of medical information and processing product complaints.
  • Working knowledge of computer technology associated with database entry and word processing
  • Experience with AI and learning concepts.
  • Assist in the development of Generative AI models with knowledge of scientific information engagement
  • Good working knowledge of computer technology in general.
  • Excellent oral and writing communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of regulations and definitions pertaining to adverse event regulations Project management skills
