Position Summary

If you love working with data and are excited to help transform healthcare through our Pharmacy Growth team, this role is for you! The Decision Science & Analytics Manager will support a team that is motivated by the opportunity to simplify healthcare for customers and create new business opportunities for our enterprise. This role is highly collaborative and will work in a matrixed environment to use the assets of the entire CVS Health Enterprise to conduct financial and statistical analyses that drive our organization and give our stakeholders the tools they need to make the right decisions for the Retail Pharmacy Business.

This role sits within the Pharmacy Growth portfolio, which includes several initiatives at various stages of incubation with expectations to contribute durable growth for prescriptions and immunizations in 1-3 years.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, conduct, and/or partner on complex analyses using large, messy datasets; develop key metrics to support opportunity evaluation and business case development.
Apply critical thinking to frame business problems, acquire relevant data, design analytical plans, and deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Use statistical methods to evaluate test-and-learn results (e.g., A/B tests), building robust control groups and risk-mitigation approaches to protect accuracy and operational efficiency.
Champion AI-enabled ways of working by enabling stakeholders with self-service analytics, standardized reporting, and consistent measurement frameworks across Retail Pharmacy.
Collaborate with colleagues to brainstorm creative approaches to new problems and iterate toward solutions.
Build dashboards, reports, and automated reporting solutions (independently and/or cross-functionally) to track initiative performance.
Develop clear, concise stories and presentations that synthesize findings across initiatives and include specific recommendations for leadership.
Prepare materials that are easily understood by non-subject matter experts.
Engage internal partners across projects to support growth and profitability goals.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of working knowledge and experience in analyzing large data sets
5+ years of experience with analytics software and tools such as SAS, R, Python, and SQL
5+ years of experience developing business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI
5+ years advanced Excel skills (e.g., advanced formulas, conditional formatting, charts, graphs, VBA & macros, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and experience working with healthcare data
Strategic problem solving and/or new product development (e.g., consulting, with a quant focus)
Familiarity with AI-enabled analytic tools and business intelligence (BI) tools with embedded AI
Ability to communicate effectively and succinctly with a diverse range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, and with all levels of an organization
Proficiency in drawing insights, solving problems, and applying analytics resources
Education
Bachelors Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field required
Specialized training and relevant professional qualifications preferred
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Master's in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, etc.) preferred

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
