Job description

Overview

Performs all required procedures relating to moderate and high complexity laboratory testing on all types of blood and body fluid specimens. Performs quality control procedures, instrument function checks, and preventative maintenance as required according to department policies and procedures. Teaches new employees laboratory policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education required: Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or one of the biological or chemical sciences

License, registration and/or certification: Eligible for registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT,ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT,NCA) or equivalent preferred

Experience: 1-2 years laboratory experience preferred
